Program Structure and Duration 

Spanning over six months, this program unfolds in two key phases:

  1. Hackathon Phase: The initial three months will be dedicated to a dynamic hackathon, culminating in a prize-giving ceremony.
  2. Venture Building Phase: Following the hackathon, participants will engage in six weeks of intensive venture-building sprints. The program will conclude with an Investor Day and the premiere of a documentary, spotlighting the journey of these groundbreaking startups.

This comprehensive structure is designed to equip agritech entrepreneurs with essential business and product development tools, enabling them to address critical agricultural challenges and attract further investments.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate in the FCMB Hackathon and Venture Building Program 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Stage of Idea: Your business concept should be in the early stages of development.
  • Team: You must have a team with diverse skills and experience relevant to building an agritech business, including expertise in agriculture, technology, business development, and marketing.
  • Passion for Agriculture: A deep passion for agriculture and a commitment to making a positive impact in the industry is essential.
  • Commitment: Participants should be fully committed to engaging with the program and dedicated to developing their ventures.
  • Legal: Your business must be legally registered, either as a business name or a limited company. Individual teams of hackers are also encouraged to apply.
